HLP Wrapped 2025

Oh 2025… you question-filled wonder. You asked a lot. We answered a lot.

Last year was a busy one for all of the Hello Lamp Post team. From launching across multiple new airports worldwide, hosting & attending events / webinars to being featured on the BBC for our work with the Environment Agency - it’s safe to say we had quite a journey.

With the new year now fully underway, we wanted to rewind the clock and celebrate some of the standout stats and projects from every corner of our work. From providing stress-free travel experiences to assisting residents with recycling household waste, let’s take a look back at last year in the life of Hello Lamp Post.

Airports

From Birmingham to Kentucky, we became passengers pre- and post-flight friend, the calm in the chaos right from arrival, all the way to departure.

Whether a first-time flyer or sky-seasoned pro, our in-terminal Digital Assistants were the extra pair of virtual hands, helping passengers self-serve with flight information, special assistance requests and more - helping airports reduce their waiting times and keep operations running smoothly.

Waste and Recycling

We’ve all had those classic “wait… where does this go?” moments when recycling. With so many different types of bins and ever-changing rules to follow, turning residents into recycling pros is no small feat.

Throughout 2025, WasteHLP rolled up its sleeves to provide communities with clear, accessible guidance on managing organic and household waste. With instant, easy-to-use support available, call volumes are dropping, confusion is disappearing, and guessing where that leftover yogurt tub belongs became a thing of the past—one bin and conversation at a time.

Environment Agency

Big or small, simple or tricky, every question about the environment matters.

Whether someone’s looking to report river pollution, prepared for potential flood risks, or wondered “How do I help to make a difference?’ - every conversation throughout 2025 turned into action, and every action helped to create positive impacts.

From chatting with the general public to inspiring young eco-enthusiasts across the country, take a look at our standout stats across all of our Environment Agency projects from last year:

🎁And that’s a wrap!

We saw it all last year—every question asked, every curveball thrown our way, every resident turned citizen scientist. You reminded us why we do what we do: turning curiosity into action, chaos into clarity, and supporting people in airports, cities, and everywhere in between!

“Hello Airport is a valuable part of how we support passengers. It helps us respond more efficiently, remain accessible, and gain deeper insights into what matters to our travellers. It’s helped us evolve how we deliver effective customer service.”

“Professor Green offers support right when residents need it, and has helped us connect with communities that have been harder to reach. It’s now quick and easy for people to get clear answers to their waste sorting questions, helping them make everyday decisions around waste a little simpler.”
