South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue (SYF&R) used our digital home safety check to streamline staff assessments and improve public emergency support. The tool helped households evaluate fire risks and determine if an in-person check was needed. A chat widget was also deployed on their website to reduce staff time spent on public queries.

Project Objectives:

  • Enhance home fire safety in South Yorkshire by increasing risk awareness
  • Reduce staff time spent on addressing public enquiries
  • Launch a community awareness campaign using direct mail and social media

Project Outcomes:

  • SYF&R conducted safety checks for an additional 500 households
  • Over 150 at-risk households were identified and received a visit from a Home Safety Officer
  • Saved 371 staff days by streamlining responses to common questions
  • Strengthened SYF&R’s relationship with the local community, resulting in greater public support
